Gem Tasting Experience
Join us for an exclusive colored gemstone experience and discover some new ‘flavors’ of gemstones. Meet with Bjorn and Rachel from Roger Dery Gem Design - Bjorn is a Maasai, Tanzanian born, 2nd generation Tanzanite miner and brings a wealth of knowledge of gem mining and sourcing. Rachel grew up in the business, faceted her first gem at age 7, and is a Graduate Gemologist. They split their time: sharing gems while in the US and managing Bjorn’s family Tanzanite mine and operating Gem Legacy initiatives while in East Africa.
This extraordinary evening promises to be a delight for all of your senses! Touch, feel and experience dozens of magnificent gems from around the world. Shop a rainbow of colors in sapphires, rubies, garnet, tourmaline, zircon and more! Learn the stories behind the gems and perhaps fall in love with one (or more) that you just can’t live without! This year, we are also hosting Gem Styling Consultations (scroll down the page for details!). There’s no need to register for both events—simply choose the experience that feels most like you! Our Gem Tasting is a lively, social experience enjoyed in a small-group setting, where guests share discoveries, admire one another’s selections, and explore gemstones together. For those who prefer a quieter, more personalized experience, our Gem Style Consultations offer private time dedicated exclusively to an individual or couple. Whichever you choose, you’ll enjoy incredible gemstones, fascinating stories, and personal guidance along the way.
