Happy Super Sunday! Even if you don't have a favorite team in the big game tonight, you may enjoy some Super Bowl Ring history. You know, because we LOVE anything to do with jewelry.... 🙂 There has been a ring for EVERY Super Bowl played (so that's 53 years this year). Usually the ring includes diamonds, sometimes colored gemstones and many intricate references to the winning team and its path to glory. The Pittsburgh Steelers have the most Super Bowl wins (six) and players Charles Haley (of the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys) and Tom Brady (of the New England Patriots) each have five. The winning team chooses which manufacturer (Jostens, Balfour or Tiffany & Co) makes their rings. Last year's Super Bowl Ring (pictured) for the Philadelphia Eagles was made of 10kt white gold and holds 219 diamonds and 17 green sapphires. WOW!!! Enjoy the game.
